My e-mail is also down, which means if I’m not getting back to you I am so, so sorry!  If you have e-mailed me & not heard back or plan to e-mail me soon, please do so through this blog or through Facebook.

I am so so sorry for the inconvenience!  Can’t wait to hear from you!

November 2, 2012

Ugh.  I’m so far behind on blogging!  However, I have to say, it’s all for good reason.  I’ve been busy…

…with lots of sessions & weddings that happen to take place in fantastically awesome places.  I have 4 weddings & 9 sessions still to blog.  Yikes.

…getting all of my rebranding underway.  We’re so close to launching! Check out the blog post Ravyn wrote about my new brand identity here.

…teaching 20 little five year olds how to be life-long learners & successful members of society (and everything else the state is forcing me to teach them–developmentally appropriate or not).

…and trying to become better at balancing the most important things to me in this life I was so graciously given.

(via Making Things Happen)

So, all that considered, I promise I’ll be back soon with lots of pretty images & the links to the NEW website and NEW blog!

***After each session or wedding, I post a sneak peek on Facebook, so if you want to see a few shots of my most recent work, be sure to visit my Facebook page.

The Clark Family /// Indianapolis Family Photography

October 27, 2012

Goodness this family is WONDERFUL.  Stevi is a photographer herself and contacted me awhile back about doing family pictures for them.  They had never had “official” family photos and because Stevi is always behind the camera, she doesn’t have many photos that include her.  The last time she and her husband, Andrew, had photos taken was on their wedding day.  A little while later and BOOM!  We made it happen.  I feel so thankful that Stevi trusted me to photograph her family.  I always feel this way about every couple or family I photograph, but when it’s another photographer you’re taking pictures of, it’s a bit different.  Thank you, Stevi & Andrew.  So, so much.

Gahhh.  Gloria is so cute!  This girl has a rockin’ personality.  She’s bound to do great things.

There’s something about this next image that gives me goosebumps.  Maybe the reality of it.  Maybe the joy that radiates from Stevi’s face.  Maybe the fact that this is just so them–such a playful family.  Maybe the emotion.  I don’t know, but I love it.

Could be my favorite picture of a family I’ve ever taken…

I loved this session so much.  Thank for you being so fun to work with, Stevi, Andrew, & Gloria!  I had a blast!

The Lovell Family /// Downtown Noblesville Indiana

October 12, 2012

The Lovells—the most hilarious and fun family I’ve ever met.  So full of crazy, silly, love for each other and are completely comfortable showing it!

This was one of my fall mini-sessions.  Lisa’s requests: 1 good family photo, 1 of the 3 kids, and an individual shot of each of them.  Success, I’d say!

All of their initials are AML. Cuteness.

So many of these image display exactly who they are as a family.  I love it!

Sarah + Joe…married! /// Backyard Indiana Wedding

October 8, 2012

This day couldn’t have been more lovely.  Sarah & Joe came back to Sarah’s home, Indiana, from Washington, D.C., where they’re living, for a backyard wedding celebration with their friends and family.  It was held on Sarah’s parents’ amazingly beautiful property in Northern Indiana.  The ceremony was held outside over-looking a pond, cocktail hour was held by their pool, and the reception was inside a castle-like tent.  Perfect.

Because Sarah & Joe live in Washington ,D.C., I didn’t have the chance to meet them prior to their wedding.  It sure didn’t matter at all–my second-shooter, Melissa, and I were warmly welcomed by everyone.  :)

*The blog, for some unknown reason, is causing the posted images to be slightly less than the original quality. To see the full quality image, click on it!  This will be fixed shortly when all of my posts are moved over to my NEW blog!!!*

The best flower girl photograph of all time, right?!  Even with the crying, I think she’s precious.

After the ceremony, everyone was surprised when this flew over the tree line.  This was Sarah and Joe’s ride over to the location where we took pictures.

And the photo location wasn’t just any location.  On the other side of the trees is the family’s horse farm.  Such a special location for them to use for their pictures.  Sarah’s horse, Cache, joined us for a little bit.  So fun!

The best part about the image below is that it’s 100% natural and real.  Zero editing done by me.  Straight out of the camera!

The reception was put together so nicely.  Pears as place cards, the lanterns, chandeliers, and lavender tucked into each napkin pulled it all together.

Sarah and Joe, thank you from the bottom of my heart for having me photograph your wedding day.  I hope you’re enjoying each and every day in Europe!
