IU Dance Marathon was created 19 years ago with the goal of providing hope for children of Riley Hospital by generating funds for the Ryan White Infectious Disease Center. We donate money to support the Hospital’s efforts to treat all its patients, regardless of financial concerns. To date IUDM has raised over $7 million for the children at Riley Hospital.

Indiana University Dance Marathon is run entirely by students who unselfishly give their time and dedication to ensure the success of the organization. Over 350 students work year round to fundraise, hold events for the Riley families, and plan the marathon. The hard work culminates in a 36 hour marathon every fall. During the marathon weekend 850 dancers choose to remain awake and standing for 36 hours in honor of those children who are unable to.

I submitted these 3 photographs together to the silent auction at the IUDM Gala in October. I was blessed enough to raise a significant amount of money from them.  The final bid was $530, all of which was donated to

Riley Hospital for Children.

$530 for the kids.

$530 to save lives.

$530 to encourage hope, celebrate life, and dare to dream big.

I have personally raised a total of $2,500 for IUDM 2009.

All for the kids, Ryan White, and Ashley Louise Crouse.

Wonderful work you all do! Not only for Riley, but for the families invited to be part of this special weekend. May God bless you all!
